Mangrove information Session

Monday 27 February 2017
6pm
Come along to Pilbara Ports Authority’s
community seminar to learn about the
importance of mangroves as a coastal ecosystem
and all of the different species found here in Port
Hedland.
Mangroves are uniquely adapted trees that inhabit the tidal sea edge. The habitat they form is rich in plant diversity, structural complexity and protect the coast from erosion by absorbing wave energy and maintaining water quality.
